Dr. Lopez, is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Lopez arrived in Naples in 2007 and started the Pediatric Intensive Care unit and took over the majority of patient care on the pediatric floor at Naples Community Hospital (NCH). Dr. Lopez has been affiliated with NCH for nine years. She received her medical degree from American University and completed her Pediatric residency at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington West Virginia and her Pediatric Critical Care fellowship at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Prior to coming to NCH, Dr. Lopez was in practice in the Bronx New York as an Attending in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and Jacobi Medical Center and was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Lopez was also the Director of Pediatric Critical Care Transport at Jacobi Medical Center in New York. Dr. Lopez currently serves as the Medical Director of the NCH Pediatric Critical Care Unit, the Pediatric Unit and Pediatric Outpatient Sedation Service. In 2008 Dr. Lopez was the COMPASS Award Recipient, which is awarded by the NCH employees. Dr. Lopez was also a Physician of the Year Honoree in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2013 Dr. Lopez was named Physician of the year at NCH. Dr. Lopez mentors and provides continuous education ensuring that the staff are proficient and that they provide quality care to the children and families of the community. Dr. Lopez is involved in community outreach activities through Pediatric Hospice and is an annual keynote speaker for Health Care Horizons Opportunity Conference to high school students in Collier County and is a mentor for high school, college and medical students. Dr. Lopez serves as an Associate Medical Director for the North Naples Fire Department ensuring the first responders are proficient and comfortable with the care of pediatric patients in the field. Dr. Lopez was also appointed by the Governor of Florida to the Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Committee. In 2015 Dr. Lopez became a Board Member for the Safe and Healthy Children’s Coalition of Collier County.
